Upcoming Microsoft Update and Systems with LDAP Integration

This March, Microsoft is releasing a security patch to address “a man in the middle” vulnerability with LDAP. In short, Microsoft will be disabling LDAP and requiring LDAPS.

You can read Microsoft release notes on the patch in the link below:

Mitel will be releasing a MiVoice Connect 19.1 SP1 on 2/7/20 to address LDAP Microsoft security fix: 19.1 SP1.

What do this mean?

Customers currently on MiVoice Connectwho utilize LDAP will need to upgrade to continue to use this feature. Or, disable Microsoft updates and manually install updates excluding that one security patch. The 19.1 SP1 version of software does not support full U switches or the first generation IP phones in the database.
