In your Schedules in Shoreware Directory you can create or verify that your Holiday schedules will play the correct message when the holidays do arrive.

We are now inviting participants to sign up for our ShoreTel 14 field trials.  These are planned to start in January 2013.  The highlights of this release are:

  • Diagnostics and Monitoring
  • Wireless Phone (DECT) with functionality that is equivalent to an IP 230

How to Check that the V Switch can connect to the NTP Server

In order to see if the NTP setting on the v-switch is able to reach it’s NTP server you can use the
following command:

Login as root

Then type> ntpdate –d x.x.x.x (time server address)

If the address of the NTP is reachable….you will see something like the following:

transmit (192.168.4.21)
receive (192.168.4.21)
transmit (192.168.4.21)
receive (192.168.4.21)
etc…
ntpdate: step

How to test SMTP Traffice between ShoreTel Servers and VSwitches

If you are trying to test whether or not SMTP is working between sites (i.e. AA greetings and Voice mails transfers)
you can use the sndping command in the voicemail (cfg) test tool.

The following is how to initiate the ping on a V switch

login as: root
root@x.x.x.x’s password:
